Painting with a Twist Pet Photo Tips

• ONE pet per canvas please.

• We only sketch the pet itself, you will be able to choose your background and colors during class. The photo will be cropped to the head and chest.

• Please send a clear image (not blurry, out of focus or pixilated). You will work directly from your photo in class, the better the picture the easier it is to work from! Larger file sizes preferred.

• Take the photo at or close to eye level with your pet rather than standing above your pet and pointing the camera down. If you squat down closer to their level it will create a better angle for a portrait.

• It’s best if your pet's head is not resting on anything like a pillow etc.

• Photos that do not have some type of photo effects filter on them will be better to work from.

• Be sure the photo is well-lit and the pet's face isn't in a lot of shadow. Natural lighting works best.

Note: All of this is ideal, but we can work with a lot! Please send us multiple photos if you are unsure.
